LOGISTICS SERVICES FOR THE WIND POWER INDUSTRY

Every project and every customer has different needs. Get logistics solutions tailored to your project whether it’s full door-to-door with customs in both countries or only customs clearance in the destination country, last-mile overland freight or only international sea freight. Our wind power industry logistics division’s services include:

    • Logistics for new wind farms: all logistics services for building new wind farms from civil engineering to transport, installation and assembly.
    • Maintaining working wind farms: replacing equipment, transporting components for repair and more.
  • MULTIMODAL INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT

International transport of components for building a wind farm usually consists of three stages:

    • Factory to port.
    • Port to port.
    • Port to wind farm.

Depending on the cargo needs in each of these stages, we can coordinate land, sea and air transport to streamline your wind farm component logistics consignments.

  • ROUTE ENGINEERING AND DESIGN

The sheer size of many wind farm components calls for route studies and planning to ensure they can get to where they need to go. We conduct route studies, port studies and access and turning radius studies to make sure the transport is feasible.

  • REVERSE LOGISTICS

Once installed in the wind farm, there are a number of components which have to be sent back to their plants of origin. For this type of cargo we supply reverse logistics services and see to:

    • Supervision and inventory on site (wind farm or temporary warehouse).
    • Loading at the wind farm or temporary warehouse.
    • Lashing and fumigation of wood.
    • Drawing up packing lists.
    • Customs clearance.
    • International transport.
    • Delivery to the plant in containers or on flatbeds.

Carga de Proyectos para la logística eólica

PROJECT CARGO

Our wind farm vertical logistics team is assisted and supported by the project team, as many of the items are often heavy, oversized or out-of-gauge which means a conventional container is not an option. We have the backing of our project cargo division for these shipments.

Almacenaje para la logística eólica

WAREHOUSING

We deliver warehousing and distribution services for the equipment needed when building a wind farm. We handle storage of the goods and after receiving the delivery instructions we then take them to the wind farm construction site.

MyTIBA

With our MyTIBA digital tool, you can access a report and share it with the other project stakeholders to ensure they are kept up to speed about equipment arrivals and can plan for them. In addition, if the customer has several projects on the go with us, MyTIBA makes it easy for them to look through the documentation and the various shipments by the project’s name.
