Based on the customs tariff, with regard to the import of cosmetics and body care products, it is worth noting the Decree-Law no. 189/2008 of 24 September.

“The national legislation on cosmetic products and bodily hygiene, marked by the need to guarantee consumer rights and the protection of public health, has been subject to frequent changes in recent years, necessitated by the need to transpose the successive directives of the competent Authorities, most of which are to adapt to technical and scientific progress. “

IMPORTATION OF CARE AND BODY HYGIENE PRODUCTS

They are defined as cosmetic products of care and body hygiene:

“Any substance or mixture intended to be put into contact with the various surface parts of the human body, in particular the epidermis, hair and hair systems, fingernails, lips and external genital organs or with teeth and oral mucosa, for the exclusive purpose or mainly, to cleanse them, to perfume them, to modify their appearance, to protect, to keep them in good condition or to correct bodily odors.”
