TIBA Opens New Office in Sines, Portugal
TIBA welcomes to the family its newest location, which we are certain will be a great success. At our new office at the port of Sines, Portugal, we will offer logistics services to support our current operations across the Iberian Peninsula, as well as strengthen our direct maritime connection to Mexico. TIBA’s strategy is simple: open and promote new foreign trade operations between the Americas and Europe.
Sines is one of Europe’s key ports, and is one of the main ties to the Americas. The port terminal’s current dock is 380 meters long, and expansion plans are underway to increase its size to 730 meters, enabling operations of 800,000 TEUs per year. Once the dock is expanded, another expansion of nearly 300 meters is expected, adding up to almost 1,000 meters of uninterrupted operations space.
TIBA’s new location has the privilege of being in close proximity to the newly opened Friopuerto’s coldstore in Sines, which will greatly facilitate consolidation of refrigerated (positive cold) and frozen (negative cold) products at controlled temperatures. This ensures that the cold chain will be maintained. The address of our new office in Sines is:

An Enchanting Port
Sines is a small coastal city in southern Portugal. It has only 20,000 inhabitants, and despite the town’s modest size, it is one of Europe’s main ports of entry for goods arriving to the continent. Sines and its neighboring towns are full of enchanting places. It boasts fantastic beaches, a small fishing port, and a picturesque castle. The town also contains remnants of the civilizations that have existed in the past, such as the Romans, Visigoths, and Muslim peoples.
