LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS FOR THE MINING INDUSTRY

Find out about our specialist mining industry logistics services and procure international transport and storage solutions for your mining projects from importing machinery, equipment and supplies to consolidating bulk cargo using big bags for export.

There are four stages to a mining project, each with its own characteristics and requirements:

  • Technical and environmental studies in which work is carried out in the field to establish the project’s feasibility and the effects of its implementation.
  • Project creation and mine preparation with the development of any infrastructure necessary for implementation.
  • Operations and extraction.
  • Mine closure.
We work in remote locations to provide comprehensive door-to-door solutions during the operations stage,
from the supply of equipment to outbound operations.

EQUIPMENT SUPPLY

We design your supply chain logistics and we import your machinery and equipment using specialist heavy-duty equipment for the safe handling of heavy or oversized loads.

OUTBOUND OPERATIONS

We coordinate your mineral exports. Procure comprehensive logistics and transport services for everything from loading materials just out of the mine to their delivery at final destination, including storage warehouses for handling the minerals and their dispatch to port.

THE MINING INDUSTRY IN ARGENTINA

In Argentina, there are around 850 mining companies operating due to the country’s significant mineral resources, most of them in areas close to the Andes where the main mining districts in terms of exploration and development are located.

Argentina forms part of the so-called lithium triangle, an area of South America comprising Argentina, Bolivia and Chile in which around 85% of the worlds’ reserves of lithium are concentrated. Indeed, due to its geographic position, Argentina has the third largest reserves of lithium in the world. Silver and gold are the next two most abundant metals in the country.

Argentina has the third largest reserves of lithium, the sixth largest of silver and the tenth largest of gold in the world..

Mining exploration in Argentina has doubled in recent years and investment in mining projects has increased by more than 90%. Argentina ranks fifth in the world for investment in mining and the industry is expected to be one of the fastest growing sectors in the coming years.
